Why is this medication prescribed?
Bisoprolol is used to treat high blood pressure. It works by relaxing your blood vessels so your heart doesn't have to pump as hard.

How should this medicine be used?
Bisoprolol comes as a tablet to take by mouth. It is usually taken once a day.
